Gaelic Nova Scotia Month

May is Mìos nan Gàidheal |Gaelic Nova Scotia Month in Nova Scotia which is a time to celebrate and create awareness of the history, culture, language, contributions, and achievements of Gaels across the province.

2021 marks the 25th anniversary of Gaelic Nova Scotia Month with the theme, Air Adhart Le Chéile | Forward Together. The theme celebrates the togetherness of the Gaelic communities and resilience found in Gaels throughout history. It also honours the togetherness shown by all Nova Scotians, particularly over the past 14 months.

Gaelic Nova Scotia Month Planning Committee:

This year’s theme was chosen by members of the Gaelic Nova Scotia Month Planning Committee which consists of 11 community members who are dedicated to strengthening Gaelic language and heritage.
